That's called "Survivor's Remorse"

The reason I know that is because I went through 3 big layoffs with the company I'm at where they canned EVERYONE that I worked with and promoted me.

After the third one they sent a "Occupational Psychologist" to see how I was holding up (keep paying me and I'll do just fine) and he said that survivor's remorse is quite common.

Hang in there, things will calm down soon, and remember what Andy said, you do what you gotta do for you and your family.

And MM4, the promotion part of the deal just made me feel worse about what was happening to everyone else. Who the hell was I apparantly sleeping with for all of this to be happening to me? I tell you what, normally you get a promotion and celebrate, not me. I barely told my wife about them (and when I did, her confusion of why I wasn't happy made things even worse)

Like I said, things will calm down. If the Seven Dwarfs are worth half a shit they'll not only evaluate how they can free up costs by shit canning people but also figure out how to redistribute the work.
